Turn a big idea into a first build you can finish
This is the style of lesson members receive: one practical outcome, plain-English steps, a reusable prompt, and a clear definition of done.
What you’ll leave with
A one-paragraph build brief small enough to start today—and specific enough that an AI coding tool can follow it without inventing the product for you.
Write the useful outcome
Finish this sentence: “When this works, someone can…” Describe what the finished thing does, not every feature it might someday have.
Choose one person
Name the first person this build is for. “Everybody” is not a person; it is a fog bank wearing a name tag.
Cut it to one screen
For a first version, choose one page, one main action, and only the information needed to support that action.
Define done before building
Write three checks you can actually verify. Example: it opens on a phone, every link works, and another person can understand it without an explanation.
Copy-and-paste prompt
I want to build [describe the idea]. Help me reduce it to a first version for [one specific person]. It must fit on one page and have one main action. Ask me no more than three questions, one at a time. Then give me: the smallest useful scope, what to leave out, and three checks that prove it works. Do not add features I didn’t request.
